Partners’ meeting on Expanding Medication-Assisted Therapies (MAT) in Central Asia (ExMAT-CA)

 On January 16, 2023 we conducted a partners’ meeting to present the start-up of the study with the goal to get acquainted with the situation on MAT in Kazakhstan and considering the possibilities and prospects for further work within the framework of the new Central Asian project.

During the meeting, the partners were acquainted with the experience of implementing the program in the country, familiarized with the new CA project at Yale University, got acquainted with the results of the ExMAT project in Ukraine, discussed barriers to program expansion and ways to solve further distribution of the program in Kazakhstan.
